There are two types of creatives. The ones who have a never-ending well of inspiration and those that just can't seem to find it.
Finding inspiration is hard. It's not easy to come up with a new concept for an animation or design, but it doesn't have to be impossible.
Staring at a blank screen or paper is enough to make anyone feel uninspired, but that doesn't mean the ideas aren't there. It's just your creative brain is taking its time to find them amongst all the noise in your life.

This is a simple and easy process.

This does not mean you need to be as professionally knowledgeable as a graphic designer, but it does mean you need to know why and how to make a composition look good.
